Restoring SD Card Contents for RadioMaster Remote Controllers
If your RadioMaster remote controller's SD card is corrupted, lost, or not functioning, follow these steps to restore it to factory settings. This solution applies to all RadioMaster radio controllers.
Solution
- Check SD Card Condition: If the SD card is damaged, replace it with a new SD card (up to 32GB) formatted to FAT32.
- Download Factory Files: Obtain the latest factory SD card contents for firmware version 2.10.5 from RadioMaster Firmware Updates.
- Unzip and Review: After downloading, unzip the file and read the
Read-first.txt
file to understand the SD card folder structure. - Copy Files: Copy all contents from the unzipped file to the SD card's root folder, replacing any existing folders and files. This restores the SD card to its factory state.
- Update Firmware: If your remote’s firmware is older than 2.10.5, update it to avoid compatibility issues. Follow the instructions in this firmware update video.
Important Folders
The following folders on the SD card are critical. Back them up regularly and restore them to the SD card root folder if issues occur:
- /MODELS: Contains all model data.
- /RADIO: Contains system setup and gimbal calibration data.
Verify SD Card Contents
After copying files, ensure the SD card root folder matches the expected structure. Refer to the screenshot below for the correct layout:
Notes
- Factory files include pre-configured settings, common models, and third-party Lua scripts for immediate use.
- Ensure the SD card is formatted to FAT32 before copying files.
- This process applies to all RadioMaster radio controllers using the provided factory files.
